pfo new bulb problem need help

bought a new bulb reeflux 400w and am having trouble with it screwing in right sounds dumb I know but the bulb that came with
the fixture hamilton goes in perfectly and this is the second time this has happened. it screws in but you can tell its not quite right doesn't seem like its making it all the way in an won't light up?

The mogul socket you have is probably a E37 to E39. The ReefLux bulb is a E40 socket. How old is your fixture? You could contact David at Coralvue and he maybe able to tell you what your options are. I have all ReefLux bulbs and no problem screwing them in??

My reeflux bulbs have no problems with the pfo sockets.

how do you check the socket size, the bulb is listed as a E39 on package the fixture is about 2 years old probaly less. do you have a contact for david at coralvue
