pH calibration

I got my ACJR up and running with relatively no issues at all. I was actually surprised at the ease of setup.

One quick question. I put my pH probe in the water already b/c I don't have calibration fluid yet. The probe seemed to read pretty accurate right away at 8.07. Is the probe calibrated before it is sent out? Is there a need to calibrate right away?

The pH reading should be close before calibration, however it could easily be off .2 to .3 pH units. Definitely calibrate it before you trust the reading.
