Ph level????

Hey there. My tank is testing nicely except for my ph level. It is about 8.5-8.8. I guess it is better have higher ph than lower, but I am trying to lower it.

I have "proper ph 8.2" that I have been using and the ph is still high.

What should I do?

stop using it, its boosting your ph level.

What brand of test kit are you using?

I'd check your test kit also.

Wouldn't hurt to invest in a pH monitor for the long term though.

I have an API kit. I will bring in a water sample to caesars James and see how it goes, maybe my kit just sucks. I wanted to get a really good one anyways so it is accurate.
