pH probe

Hope these two questions aren't dumb questions before I buy the Apex Jr:

1) will the pH probe need to be constantly calibrated as long as it's being left in the tank?

2) besides the probe, would I need to order anything else to make it work with the Apex Jr?

1) You should calibrate monthly or when you notice the readings being out of expected range

2) if you are not using an ORP probe (Jr can connect 1 probe) the you only need the probe (and calibration packet; since probes need an initial calibration).

I suspect that kenargo was thinking of the Apex Lite or the old AcquaController Jr, which do have a single pH probe port built in. The Apex Jr has only a temperature probe port (the probe come with it). To use any other probes with a Jr, you will need to buy a PMx module too - for pH, that would be a PM1.
