Ph problem

I just want to double check is it correct. I had one AquaController II. It gots Ph, Orp and Temperature probes. I want to use Ph control to control My CO2 system. My friend told me that these three probes have to put next to each other. Otherwise the Orp and temperature will not get the correct data. Is it true? Anybady
got same situation like me?
he suggest me to order another Ph control. Do I NEED TO ??

On the AC2 the recommendation is that the probes are separated by at least 6 inches. On this controller each probe is independent and each could be put into a separate tank/body of water.
