For months I was having problems with my PH contantly at 7.8. The reading was taken right after a light period ended. I recently installed a 10 gallon refugium under the stand with a siphon overflow. Previously I was limited to only HOB items. For the last 3 days I have tested the PH at the same time (end of the light period). Now I am testing a constant ph of 8.2 everytime. I was kinda wondering why the ph rose so fast with just adding a extenal fuge? I do remember after the 1st day after adding the fuge my corals looked like total crap, is that due to the major ph swing I had? I also have a question about my skimmer production, it seems to have drastically declined since adding the fuge, any info on why this happens? Thanks...
