this happened a couple of months ago, didn't think much of it but after reading your post I though I would just see since I had both on hand. I have had Taxifolia as well as sertiloides, are you lighting it 24/7? I ask because my taxifolia went asexual, when I ran it 8-10hrs a day. Didn't have a problem when it ran 24/7 and constant pruning.

AZ any update on these tests. I am very interested as I am thinking about removing all my Cheato and going back to c. taxifolia only. The two don't seem to do well together as the Cheato is just so Uber that it takes over quickly.
BTW does anybody know were Cheato comes from in the wild. A friend down here asked me for some but I was so afraid that this stuff might get loose and into the local waters that I told him no. I cant imagine how this would spread in virgin territory but from what I have seen in a Tank, in 10 years at a resort area it might make it look like the Sargasso sea.
