PH too High

Hi,

I have a 120g tank with a 30g sump.

My Calcium is at 375.
My Alk at 9 dkh.
PH ranges from a low of 8.3 overnight to a high of 8.6 to 8.7.

I have tried to do large water changes over the past week. 2 X 30g each time. This has not corrected the problem.

I have a calcium reactor I use to keep my Alk and CA at the above mentionned levels. I have tried slowing the CO2 and also tried upping the drip count.

Should I use the vinegar mentionned as per an article you recommended another individual?

????

If you are not adding any high pH additives (limewater or a two part, for example), then I expect the pH is likely a measurement error. pH doesn't just drift up.

How are you measuring pH? How recently did you calibrate if with a meter. What brand fluid (some are crappy)?
