has anyone experienced any problems assoc. w/ leaving seachem's phosgaurd in longer than the recommended time in reef tanks?

Seachem claims that it won't leach into your system, however I still used to change it once a month and soak it in a hot water rinse. I never had a reading of any phosphates in my 90 gallon system. (Tested consistantly with the Salifert test). i don't think it will present a problem for you, although how long has it been?

was not sure if leaving it in long had negative effects on things like ph, alk or calcium
