phosban 150 location.

Hey everybody, I just got a Phosban 150. I don't have a sump, so I am going to hang it on the back of my 75 gallon reef. My question is ,I also got a mini jet #404 to run it. Should the pump be placed near the top surface or should it be closest to the sand bed as possible? Because this is where most of the phosphate would be ,because of the gravel bed? Thanks for anyones thoughrts.

I would think that if you had good flow in your tank, the water would be mixing well and would not matter where you put it. If you put it near the sand, it is more likely to suck in particles of sand and junk I would think.......

The phosphate is in the water column. It doesnt' matter where you put it.
