Phosban question.

I am picking up the phosban type Nautilus phosphate reator hopefully tonight. What are the best medias for this thing and where can I get them localy? I wouldn't mind driving a little and would like to get this done before the blizzard.

Best bet would be to order the Warner Marine Phos-R from Premium Aquatics. It will get to you on Monday.

If you cannot wait, I have seen Phos-loc at Deep Reef in Downers Grove.

I have used: Rowa-phos, Phos-loc and Phos-ban. Of the 3 I prefer (and just re-loaded with) Rowa-Phos. If Premium had the Warner Marine stuff when I ordered last week I would have ordered that instead (this is what jdieck is using now and when it comes to reef chemicals - I listen to him).

Amen to that, brother!

I MUCH prefer the phos-lock to Phosban/Rowa/Ocean's Blend all of which I used in the past. Rod attached me to that.

But next order I'll be getting either 2kg or 4kg of Phosar.

Thanks. I just ordered the 500 phosar. After reading the description I find that with that stuff I really don't need the reactor. I guess I'll run carbon in it. While I was there I ordered some aragamite after reading doug lehmans maintenance post.
