I recently noticed some of my sps tips getting burnt tips and loosing color. my phosphates where at about 1ppm i have since lowered it to 0ppm over the last month. My question is is there such a thing as too low of a phosphate level?

My elos test always said they were at 0 so i bought a Hanna Ckecker and like i said i started at about 1ppm now its 0.

no you want your phosphates to be 0. What are your other numbers (mg, alk, calcium, nitrates, nitrites)?

mag- 1300

alk- 9dkh

calcium- 450

nitrates- undetectable

nitrites - haven't tested

I have been dosing VSV and MB7 but discovered that that alone won't keep phosphates in check. it keeps nitrates at 0 and phosphates down but not at 0.

My problem started when i added 4 big fish to my system. I had to increase my VSV dosing but the phosphates went up.
