How much phosphate do you guys(and gals) have in your systems. I running at about .05 to .1 ppm. I am thinking of getting a phosban reactor. has anyone had any luck with those things?

Thanks

Are you having any algae issues?

Phosphate is tricky because most conventional test kits only test for inorganic PO4. My current levels are undetectable but probably not 0.

I currently run GFO (granulated ferric oxide) in a reactor and have no complaints. It works really well so start with a small amount and work up so you don't shock your corals. I also run a fuge which also helps.

i run a fuge as well tons of chateo. no bad algae really but my coraline has been slowly dying over the lasts few months. also as of the past few weeks one of my green tip birdsnest frags has started to fade color/bleach in the middle of the frag. the tips and braches are perfect. My other sps is doing fine...green and orange monti cap and a poccilipora.

Imo; you might have to increase water flow to the birdsnest, the water may be stagnating in the center, causing it to die from the center out.
