Phosphate reactor in FO tank?

I'm switching over from a reef tank to a fish only. Just don't have the time to keep up with it with the new puppy. I was wondering if it was still worthwhile to have the phosphate reactor hooked up? Thanks in advance for the advice!

I run a Bulk Reef Supply dual chamber GFO/Carbon reactor in my 180 FOWLR with 55 gal sump. My water is sparkling clean and my brown alge on the glass and sand was greatly reduced. I only use RO/DI water as well.

With the starfire glass the aquarium looks amazing, and I get a lot of comments on how clean everything looks.

I say if you can afford it, it can only help with your water quality.

I would think running GFO (for algae) and carbon (for clear water) would help give your fish only tank a nice clean water look!!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll continue to run carbon and GFO.....the less algae and clearer water the better!
