Has anybody ever used this product and how good does it work? I saw a video on YouTube of the guy using it for 10+ years and he claims it works great, my refuge has a lot of green hair algae and I tested the phosphate and it's still kinda high on the api kit, I'm thinking of picking it up and using that to remove the phosphates in the tank, I'm getting a little bit of green hair algae on my display on one of my main rocks and I hate seeing that, the tank has 0 nitrates but is on the second to third color of phosphates on the api kit, so if anybody has used or uses phosphate rx please give me more info on it.

bump.. just saw the video too. reason im asking is because I am starting to see green hair in my tank. wanted to know how to get it OUT!!!!!!!

Most of us will shy from trying the quik fixes which tend to be subpar with other unknown effects. Well regulate nutrients water change and focus on the quality of the water we introduce.

First thing is get yourself a proper phosphate tester, whether it be a hanna checker or test kit like Red Sea.

How much hair algae are we talking here? A little here and there is no cause for alarm, and usually just bumping up the clean up crew and or adding an algae eating fish will take care of it. If the tank looks good otherwise, I would leave it be.

Starting chemicals and media based on an inaccurate test kit result could be the start of all kinds of tail chasing and issues ahead. Not saying don't do it. Just saying be sure what you are dealing with, where you want to go, and understand what you need to do to get there.

Pics always help us understand what is going on. Good luck, and hope I don't sound like a Debbie Downer, LOL!

I think this is a Lanthanum containing Product. You should research the use of Lanthanum before using this IMO.
