I have been running a phosban reactor little fihes 150 for about 2 weeks now and my phosphates are still .5 according to my salifert kit. I am running rawphos(1 small jar full) to a 110 gallon tall tank. It is barely bubbling in the reactor about 1/2". Using RODI water (all membranes are still perfect). Any ideas? I am thinking about buying a sea hare to help with the hair algae also.

Thanks
in advance,
Garrick

Garrick......

If you are getting .5 on a Salifert test I am sure its much higher than that. If you want to get an accurate reading you are welcome to my PO4 meter or stop by with a water sample and I will test it for ya.

Garrick, That small rowaphos is just a "starter" . Its only enough for about a 60 gallon tank, but thats all you want o use when you first start so you dont shock the system. By now you could bump up to the recommended dosage and that should help.. Rowaphos is one of te best/most popular, but there are a few cheaper brands outt here now that work just as well.. As long as they are ferric oxide or feric hydroxide.
