Photometer vs Chlorimeter?

I'm wanting to buy a meter to test low range P04. I've never owned one before and I've read that Hanna does a decent job for the money.

What is the difference between a photometer & a chlorimeter? Is there one better suited for my application (i.e. what one should I buy?)

Did you mean colorimeter?

Sounds similar to a photometer.

I'm starting to think they are. I've never owned one before so I've got no idea.

Could a mod move this to the chemistry forum? Those guys would likely be more versed with testing equipment.
