Photos of my percula babies in my 125 gallon reef

Two weeks ago I noted that at the base of my Colt Coral there was some damage to the tips of the coral. I was worried that nudibranches were eating the coral.

I also noted that the male percula was sometimes missing in the lower part of the coral. Yesterday in the morning I saw the percula hiting the rock with his tail. After a close inspection of the rock I noted all these small fish attached to the rock.

You can see the eyes and orange color in their bodies.

I imagine there is nothing I can do since the rock is very big and the other fish will eat the babies!

I am very excited about this!

congratulations.... you have eggs that are about to hatch. you can retrieve the fry the night they hatch (10 days after they are laid). If you turn off the filters and powerheads just after dark. when they hatch you can use a fry catcher to lure them into a container using a small flashlight. You can then transfer them to a one gallon tank and try and raise them using a greenwater technique. These methods are well documented. You can also place a tile in the nest location so you can remove the spawn next time. Anyway great photos, thanks for sharing.
