Phyto Help!

Hey guys! Hoping someone with some experience at phyto production can help out here. The first batch of phyto I made came out a dark green in about 7 1/2 days. The next batch, I took some out tonight to compare, has been in for a full 9 days, and still is not as dark green as the first. Not sure if you can really see the difference in the pics, but there is a significant color difference. The first week I ran the light 18 hrs and off for 6 hrs, then read where it should be on 16 hrs then off for 8 hrs. So on this second batch I switched to 16 and 8. Do I need to just start over with a fresh culture? is this batch ok? does anyone have any ideas?

what did you do after you took out the first batch of phyto? did you take half?

I had to take all of it out because there was a very minor leak in it that I had to fix. Then I started over with about 2 cups of the phyto I had just made plus the Miracle Grow and the saltwater.
