Not long ago I had posted that I started a subscription for 2 bottles of (1 each) Phyto and Rotifers to be shipped to my door for 15.00 a month. I mentioned I would update how that was working..
well..it's not working at all..here is what happened..
I subscribed to the "phyto and rotifer" a month deal on the westmariculture website owned by Paul West.
My experience with them (him) has been very poor. here are the details.
On June 23rd I setup the subscription. He almost INSTANTLY emailed me back saying there was no address associated with my paypal for this subscription so I immediatley emailed him back the info.
July 1st I had not received anything so I simply emailed asking when I should expect my first shipment. I was out of phyto completely so needed to know if I should go buy some or to expect the mailing or not.
No reply.
One week later on July 8th I emailed again asking what the deal was.
2 DAYS after that email he replied with the following "I GREATLY apologize for the delay in shipping. I use PayPal to manage the subscriptions and just realized it doesn't always pick up new subscriptions. I will send it out today"
interesting considering he asked me what my address was already. anyway..that aside..
I received the shipment as promised 4 days later (shipping via priority mail is included in the price). It had been shipped in a priority mail "envelope". I received it in a big plastic bag that the USPS had put on there cause the stuff had leaked.
I notified Paul right away of the status of it and he emailed me back same day. apologizing and stating he does ship 50 bottles a week without incident so he would ship me a replacement bottle (only one of the 2 leaked).
That was July 14th. Have not received anything since. On the 23rd of July my 15.00 subscription payment came out again..guess what..nothing from that either. I emailed him 3 times since then, the last time I mentioned if I did not hear from him I would cancel the subscription and file a claim for my last 15.00. That was 4 days ago and still no contact.
I cancelled my subscription yesterday in hopes of hearing from him about that but nothing still.
Today I filed the Paypal dispute against him.
It's not about the 15 bucks really. It is just about the lousy service and lack of product that I have paid for. I believe he sells on Ebay as well.
I Hope nobody else subscribed and if you did I certainly hope it works out for you and know what kind of dealings this guy is doing.
Avoid this one like the plague!!!
