What are the current ways one would go about producing different species of phyto? What are some of the cheaper ways? And are these cheaper ways, if any, cost effective given the cost of bottled phytoplankton?
you can order 3 different srains from flordia aqua farms i culture two for my reef tank and and have alot left over every month that i take to my lfs for credit. in one month i probably caulture about 4 to five 2 litter bottles of each and probably only use half of one bottle so i have alot left over. it cost me about 20 dollars to get started which is cheap seeing how it costs about 12 to 15 bucks for a bottle of photo at my lfs and it is maybe twelve ounces so you do the math
