picasso eggs

My picassos are producing eggs, a pretty good bunch of them and it looks like no one is eating them since they are still there a couple of days later.

Is it worth trying to raise these guys? If so, can I do this somehow and leave the parents where they are?

Leave them there till day nine. The parents will take care of them better than you can. On day nine move them to a 10 gallon tank. Its a lot of work but a lot of fun if your up to it. Let me know if I can help further?

Congrats...my true percs have laid three times so far and its sad to wake up and see they hatched and disappear. I say if your willing to try so am I :). We can.succeed or fail together

So if I do raise them, will they be picassos? Has anyone tried this? I have heard they are relatively infertile because of the inbreeding? True?

Also I assume you just scrape them off the rock with a razor blade, stick them in a 10g and feed them live rotifers? Where would I get rotifers?

Some will be Picasso's. Inbreeding is what caused all these clowns in the first place. You should let this batch go and get your rotifers going. Try to get them to lay on a tile so its removable otherwise you gotta just let them hatch and try to catch the larvae. I have phyto and rotiders but I would get your phyto going first.
