Picasso Trigger with Maroon Clown?

I've had a goldstripe maroon clown in my tank for about seven years. For the past year he's been the only fish in the tank. We'd like to add a picasso trigger. The specimen I'm looking at is still small, maybe half the size of the clown, but I know he'll grow larger than the clown eventually. Are these two compatible? Thanks.

I had a GS maroon clown take out a larger Niger Trigger in my tank years ago. It happened so quickly that when I noticed the clowns' body shredded it had already killed the Niger. The clown eventually healed and did fine :)

I love the Picasso and it is a bit tougher than the Niger so it may be able to fend for itself. I don't know for sure...but one thing is for sure, keep a vigilant eye when you introduce him.

I had a Maroon Clown with a Niger and Huma Triggers for several years, the Huma and Clown were fine, the Maroon and Niger (oddly enough) were the ones that fought, I eventually (after 3 years) moved the Clown to my smaller tank as his fins were taking a beating. Maroons are great and tough fish tough.

Thanks for all the replies. I added the Picasso over the weekend and all seems fine so far. He adjusted to his surroundings quickly, and was eating like a pig within an hour of entering the tank. The GSM is a homebody and likes his corner of the tank where he's pushed all the sand away. It was a few hours before the two even met. They danced a bit, swimming circles around each other, and even ate together. But no nipping or real aggressive behavior. For the most part they seem to ignore one another. The trigger does, however, venture directly into the clown's enclave, but so far this has not yielded any ill results.
