Piccasso Trigger with Corals

Will a piccasso trigger do ok with corals, mushrooms, zoos, and some lps? Just wondering if they would do ok if they're somewhat well fed to keep there mind off eating corals?

They aren't considered reef safe. There are other triggers that you would have far better chances with, like blue throat or crosshatch triggers.

IMO from what I've seen of these guys is that they will sample whatever they are curious about regardless of how much you feed.

Tried some test corals with my Picasso and he ripped them right up....

Did you put them in like they were food?
I had most of my corals in when I added the trigger, and he doesn't bother anything.

i wouldnt trust it , i wouldnt say they eat corals but mine takes bites of live rock occasionally and im sure if there were corals in there he would bite them too.

No, I placed them on top of the rocks that were already there; he didn't bother them until the next day. I guess he got curious
:p.

My Picasso did fine with 'shrooms and zoos. As I added LPS, he started nipping at them. I don't think he was hungry, just curious. But too curious repeatedly so he had to go. My absolute favorite trigger was my Fuscus! What a personality but he was a redecorator and didn't want anything in the tank to stay in the spot you put. So he moved everything he could, and beat to death everything he couldn't. So he had to go too. I currently have a Blue Jaw trigger and he's awesome, a model citizen with all the corals and other fish although a little more skittish than the Picasso.

I have one with mushrooms, polyps, frogspawn, torch, and a candycane and thus far no problems. Well except that when Humu "plays" with the sand, the corals end up getting a sand bath!

I don't know about a Picasso trigger but i did extensive five year testing on my clown trigger and now a second one with no problems with many corals .
