My local Reef Club had a frag raffle and I picked up a frag of Copps blue milli with purple tips.....I have a picture of his colony for reference (hope you don't mind Copps...). The frag will look sweet I am sure when it gets some size and colors up! Also, the club was handing out these really cool things to mount your frags with called "Frag Mags". You can position them anywhere you want and move the frags without getting your hands wet.....pretty cool. You can see it in action with my freshly mounted Copps Milli!! :D

Here is my new Frag on the wicked cool "Frag-Mag":

Here is a shot outside of the tank so you can see the other half of the frag-mags: I think they picked them up from this web site: aqua-mags.com or something like that....

I am a happy camper this evening!!! :D

frag mags? What's the purpose? Just to have a way to mount your frags on glass and having the ability to move at a later date?

you can acclimate to lighting easily ....figure out what level of tank easily...i kind of like the idea.......just another invention for us lazy americans(no offense dont go getting all patriotic on me...i am talking about frags!!!)

I like the idea of easily mounting frags on the back wall and on the overflow. And in this case I didn't know where I wanted this piece so I put it on the "frag-mag" for acclimation...

I think that is an awesome idea, just for lighting acclimation. Keep it further down in the tank to let it adjust to the new light, then slowly move them up. No need to cover the tank or block the light to other existing corals.

Although I think they would look funny, no slap at you they are great just for that need!

Nice:)

None taken, I like the idea.....great for new frags like you said spankey... I think if they come up with bases that look more like irregular shaped rock it might be more attractive and could be a permanent addition to my back wall....

What happens after you want to put the frags on the rocks?
Well unless it encrusts over that dohicky I"m sure you could snap it off at the glue connection.

I once thought of using cheap magfloats in the same way, just silicone some rock to the magfloat, then glue frags to the rock and eventually you can remove the rock pieces later even if the corals encrust you're ok, and glue them to rock. Kind of use the magfloat as a shelf, but I see these look like more of a permanent edition type things.

$1 frag rack, complete with suction cups to attach where you want it, and twenty 3/8" square holes in the bottom to stick frags in, circulation, etc. (From Walmart...it's an acrylic soap dish)

Dave I like that allot! So much I am going to have to look for them... I can use them like crazy!

Thanks for sharring!
Spankey!

I personally hate anything with suction cups for attachment....it will fall off sooner or later....the magnets are a guarantee that my pricey little frag won't fall onto my Hydno or torch....JMO.
