Pico Pest Tank-Questions inside!

At work, I've started a 2.7 gal pest reef.. a place where least favorable corals go (kenya, xenia, mushrooms, GSP and so on)

I discovered one of the rocks from the LFS has Aiptasia on it. I am torn if I want to keep them in this pest tank, or get rid of them.

What do you think? a welcome addition to a pest tank, or kill it with fire?

Additionally, I am on the hunt for some rejected corals. If anyone wants to trade or sell, let me know!

Won't mushrooms overgrow a 2.7 gallon tank in short order? There's pest, and then there's fast growing.

it probably will take over fast.. and so will the aiptasia too, lol. I don't mind, it's a small pico, an dI can easily take rocks out and replace to control population

I'd take it out. While it is technically a pest, it will take over by stinging the hell out of the rest of your corals.

I wish I saw this thread earlier. I would've given you my Xenia!

not too late, Bill! I am still looking if you still have it :)
I got a peppermint shrimp. we'll see if it eats it. it's in a bad spot where I can't reach without breaking my rocks apart.

(PS- I was shocked at the price of Xenia and Kenya the store had!)
