Pico rock

I am finally about to set up my 2.5 gallon pico but am wondering what kind of rock I should put in it?

Should I go the Live Rock route or the dryrock route?

I would get a few nice pieces of live rock and let the good times roll. ;)

If quality live rock is unavailable then just go the dry rock route.

If you go with live rock the cycle will be shorter but you could add something to your tank you might not want. If you go the dry rock route your cycle will take longer but you will know whats in your tank or more important whats not in you tank.
But in the end its what ever you prefer

Live rock for sure. You want the biological filtration in a tank that small. I am sure you will be doing weekly water changes? I believe most with 2.5g normally change a gallon every few days or so. Very important to keep params as stable as possible. Good luck!!

The live rock is florida/fiji lr at a lfs and it has a ton of stuff growing on it including aiptasia on some of the rocks. Is it worth the risk? The dry rock would be caribsea dry rock. I heard it is really dense though?

The Aiptasia can be removed with a small butane torch or a cigarette lighter if you have one handy. This only takes a few seconds to do.
