That isn't aiptasia. That's a tube anemone. They are a good critter. They are not photosynthetic though so you will need to feed it. Preferably something small like cyclopeeze or maybe mysid shrimp.

The thing you said "no idea" about looks to me like sea squirts.

hmm.. could be a purple gorg... it was in saltybastage's tank during his heat thing. he thought it was gone, but it's apparently still alive.

good to hear that isn't aiptasia! i will move it out into the open. right now it's in a back corner.. not getting much action.

I believe that the tube anemones prefer to be in the sand bed, but I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time! )

not at the moment. they are about to become mjpelikan's though.
we're spliting the rocks i got from saltybastage.
he's also getting a very nice toadstool and some orange zoos.

the tube has been stuck in that rock for over a year.. he's pretty happy. he was much bigger and lost all of his tenticals in the move from wichita.

the "really hairy thing" is a Gorgonian. Nemo's looking good. he'll take to an anem if you get one for it.
