Here are some pics... they often don't come out very well because the seahorses are so small. The speckles in the full tank shot are baby brine. These guys were just fed.

Looks good. I would try to get some Cured Rock in there for filtration asap.

Not on a dwarf tank...

a lot of baby brine + low current + liverock = hydroid problem

I think they are just about full size. They stay pretty small. I have 8 dwarves in this nano... probably going to add 2 or 3 dwarf pipes when they are available. These guys tend to do better in good size herds... 2 or 3 per gallon of water. The biggest drawback is that they require daily hatching of baby brine shrimp. Good luck.

thanks...yeah the live brine shrimp thing is a problem...I have my tank in my office and I would not be able to provide that on a consistant basis..as much as I would hate to admit it I think I will have to pass on SH's, at least for now..

nice tank what do you have for filtration? I just set up a 7 gal mini bow for dwarfs but I have live rock in it it is very old rock do you think it will be a problem.

Have you had many births? I had a 2.5g dwarf tank that housed 5 dwarves. They seemed to pop out babies more often than I could find a home for them.

About Pesky Hydroids in a dwarf sh tank, I had to use panacur bought from seahorse source, I used the liquid.. but you can`t put much of anything else in the tank. nass snails survived also the live rock and sand cannot be used in any reef tank, the panacur stays in the rock for yrs. Caribbean learchis poica , Feeds on the stinging hydroid pennaria distichia very much helps remove these unwanted tank pests.. purchased from cramers critters for $2.50.. I have never tried the Nudibranch ..
