I wanted to make sure these guys were going to be healthy and eating before I got too excited. Well, they eat like crazy and out of my fingers most of the time. Sooo here are some pics....I can't wait til they try to lay eggs.

Well I won them at the raffle at the last meeting. I have seen them going on the internet for as low as $350 a pair and much higher. If I have success breeding them I will be giving some away to our local reefers. So wish me luck. And big thanks to Denise and his presentation.

I am glad to see they are doing well for you Todd. You should note that those are a Percula/Snowflake hybrid. I did have a few that did develop true snowflakes but I stashed those away for myself :D. How is the Rotifer culture comming along? Hope I here good news on the Onyx spawns.

I have been offered $450/pair but have not taken any up on those offers. I mostly give them to fellow breeders around the country for trade on their stock. The ones that don't have snowflake patterns, but have the genes, I send to high schools that have SW projects or grants. By the way, I got my original pair from Yale over 2 years ago when there were one of only 6 pairs in the US. Mine is the only one breeding at this time. I am sure there will be others breeding soon and hopefully the prices will not be outrageous as they are now.....another reason I would rather give them away then sell them. Unfortunately I don't have anymore at this time that are ready. As you can see Todd's fish are still not fully developed and just starting the 3rd band. But I have all the confidence in Todd that he will be able to produce many babies for the SCMAS crew. They sure look happy in your tank Todd!
Sorry for the hijack Todd but here is another pic of the hybrids and as you can see there are all different patterns including normal.

oh really yale never told me about that. I had even asked him about these types of clowns! Thats really interesting. You have some sweet fish there....im totally jealous...i should have known about what you do for schools, last year i was in a marine biology class in high school and we had our own 20L setups!

Dennis, thanks for the good words. I am hoping they will spawn and we will have some fry to give out to fellow reefers. I am going to pm you about the rots and some questions.

Scott, yes you can have some if they spawn but it will take at least a year before that happens.

Randall, keep your fingers crossed and we will see.
