I finally was able to borrow a buddies DSLR and snap a few shots of my tank with a good camera. I did not know how to adjust any settings and he did not have a macro lens but a few came out good and I wanted to share. I love threads with pictures!

i am thinking about trying to buy one of these cameras, his is a 10MP sony a100, its several years old but still has all the bells and whistles. on ebay they run about 300 bones, mabe for christmas. I wish I would have known i could rent one, I only had the camera for tonight but mabe I can invite him over for some beers and he can bring it again sometime. Thanks for the lens offer and the compliments.

SONY is really nice, cheap, and performs well. It has limited lens selection when compare to others. If you are thinking to get into photography, Canon or Nikon will be a better choice. They have a lot more used lens you can buy.

WOW!!! That is a Very nice looking tank. Did you happen to get that birds nest, GSP and Bali Tricolor from me at some point in time? they have the exact same colorings as the ones I had. Awesome shots of a nice looking tank.

thanks for the compliments guys, the bali came from commonstranger (he always has great looking stuff) the GSP came from Bill when he was throwing it out of his tank, the frogspawn and the bonsai came from Ryan Stegall, who is not active int he club anymore. Pickup man I got some green birdsnest from you, the stuff that adds more bulk than height, but the shots of it I took didnt come out because of my limited skills and its placement in the tank. You can see it above the shrimp and the GSP on the right in the FTS.
