One of them I know for sure is a Amphiprion chrysopterus but the other one..????????? Tell me does this look like a juvenile amphiprion chrysopterus to you? I am keeping them in the 29 for a few weeks. Just to make sure that they don't have any problems, and to make sure they are good eaters. So far they are swimming together and they ate some food. What do you guys think about the smaller one?

I know these pictures aren't very good. I will try to get better ones later.

I think they're great pictures and they look super cute!!!

I don't have any experience with these clowns - we know that LOL - however, the little guy does look like one of the pictures I saw that said it was a juvi of that species...

I'll check my books now too - maybe there's something in there...

Couldn't say for sure as of now...but to me, species wise, that smaller clown looks to be a different clownfish than the bigger.

Hey -how are they doing this morning? I forgot to check my books last night - I'll go do that now...

I talked to the place I got them from. They assured me its a juvenile of the blue stripes. The bigger one just has already gone through the adult phase thats why it looks more like a blue stripe. The bigger one did a weird thing last night..it slept upside down next to the filter intake tube..not by the intake itself just the tube. This morning we found both of them huddled up on the upper left hand side of the tank. I guess because it was close to the heater. I am going to feed them and take more pictures later, but this time clean the glass lol. The smaller one fins have a bit of damage from the bigger one nipping at it. That is normal I haven't seen the bigger one chase the little one around the tank yet. So its just dominance wounds.

I know that there are two different colors of A. chrysopterus ..one that has a black anal fin and one that has an orange fin. I just so happened to get both..lol
I did some searching on google and this is the only picture of a juvenile blue stripe I could find.

I tried to get a picture of them again today but the bigger one keeps hiding behind the rock when ever I get near the tank. No biggy..there will be plenty of time to take pictures.

Yeah! I found that picture too when I was searching for you...

I'm happy that you're enjoying them so far and that thing seems to be going well!

Don't forget to post new pictures... Kim

A pic just to show you its wounds from the bigger one. I have been soaking its food in garlic and zoe. I hope that will keep its wounds from getting infected. The little one eats well so I am not worried about him.

The soon to be female..not sure if female yet.. has little white spots on her.. stress from shipping? What would you do for ich? She still is eating well..I started soaking food in garlic yesterday. Noticed the spots today and then started soaking the food with garlic and zoecon. This is all I know what to do.. I haven't had to deal with a fish disease before. So help is needed. Thanks..
