Pineapple current placement

I've had a pineapple coral for a couple of months and I want to move it to a new location that's alittle deeper (I think it was getting too much light) but has a fairly strong current in the area. My book only says that they like moderate light.

Any advice would be appeciated.

Thanks

how strong is the current? do you feel a good resistance when your palm is placed before it?both flow and light needs time to acclimate (more for light). move to lower light is good idea but pineapples are really hardy too (what is yours exactly? too many corals have been named pineapple). most pineapples are diploastrea heliopora...

too much flow is when the coral tissues get ripped, otherwise it sould do okay, even tho most LPS really live in moderate flow conditions.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure of the exact species. The current isn't too strong. It's one of the returns from my main pump and flows into some star polys and they seem to do quite well with it.

Most will do fine in high flow but allow space for sweeper tentacles. Mine almost seems to prefer higher flow but has a habit of developing 3 inch long sweepers when it's getting a lot of current. Almost looks like a galaxia!
