My name is Steve and I am fairly new to the hobby. I bought a 30gal. reef tank from a friend who had it for about 5 years. I have had it for about 6 months now with some good and some bad results with various fish and corals. I bought a Pink Carnation Coral today because it looked awesome and the guy at the aquarium shop said they were easy to take care of. After doing some reading it seems that I may have made a mistake. I put it moslty under some rocks in a little nook with only a small portion of it in direct light. I bought Phytoplankton and spot fed it today. I have 2 Hydor Koralia's giving the tank moderate water flow but the Carnation doesn't seem to be noticably moving with the current, maybe because it's protected in the nook. Any other advice for keeping this Coral happy? Thanks!
