I bought a pink spot goby 5 days ago from LFS, he ate at store and did not appear ill at all. Fish had been there over 3 weeks, no ich or external parasites evident. In my tank he did not move around much and did not eat. He did however follow my Bullseye pistol shrimp around and sort of pined for his affection. My Pistol shrimp was not really interested. 2 nights ago I saw my Pistol shrimp cleaning the inside of his mouth. Needless to say the goby died last night. Any ideas as to why, just bad luck or something else. No other fish bothered him at all.
