I use a nitrate probe. However it doesn't work like you would hope. You can't just leave it in the tank like a pH probe. You have to recalibrate it before every use and use it only for spot checks.

So...yes, it works very well given it's limitations.

Kinda what I figured, I also don't see how the calcium probe could work long term either.

I'm on my 2nd NO3 probe and it's already reading error with calibration . I would not buy it again.
