Pinpoint Thermometer question

I have a Pinpoint Wireless Thermometer and I dont know if it is accrate. I have a coralife thermometer on a different tank and I get 2 completely different readings. The inpoint reads 82 degrees and the coralife reads 76.4. The water feels cool to the touch compared to my other tanks so I believe the pinpoint is wrong. How can I verify if it is reading corectly or calibrate it somehow? The main reason I think the pinpoint is wrong is my heaters are turned all the way down and it is only 67 degrees ambiant temp in the room.

The corallife thermometer are not that accurate I would think that the pinpoint one is more accurate. But I do agree with the post above that a cheap non digital thermometer might be the best way to tell which one is more accurate.

I am not sure on the range of the pinpoint thermometers, but a glass of ice water (lot of ice) sitting for a few minutes should read 32 F and boiling water 212 F.
