Pipefish and wrasses?

Hello all, I currently have a single banded pipefish in my 120gal and I am considering adding a wrasse to my tank. I was thinking of getting either a flasher wrasse or a fairy wrasse. I was curious if anyone has any experience with the more peaceful wrasses and pipefish together in the same tank?
I know that a lot of the fish compatability charts will say no, but I've seen some pic's of peoples tanks with both fish in it and was wondering if it would be okay? Thanks.

i say it will work but they will compete for the same food

I think you should be fine as long as you only add one or two and feed the fish enough. It would be more of a problem if it was a smaller tank and you were keeping somthing like a six-line that would be constantly skimming over the rocks for copepods. Good luck.
