do you know when you will get dragonface pipefish in because i really want to make an order but i want a dragonface and that is the only fish that you dont have in stock ?

Thank you for your post. We apologize that the Dragon Face Pipe Fish is currently unavailable on our website. The availability of specimens is dependent on what we have available in our aquatics center, and this depends on what we are able to harvest from the wild and which tank raised specimens are available at the time. Our holding facility does receive daily shipments, so the stock can change from day to day. We are unable to give you a specific date as to when we will have the specimen in stock. Please feel free to click the “Email Me†link by the specimen you are interested in purchasing and we will send you an automated email as soon as it becomes available.

After checking further with our aquatic center, we've been informed that this fish is expected to be available on our website again on Thursday. In addition, if you've signed up for our In-Stock Alert e-mail notification on this fish, you will be notified about it as it does become available for order.

I thought it was illegal to get wild caught pipefish and seahorses???

It is not illegal to harvest wild Seahorses and Pipefish, though an appendix to CITES, which makes them illegal to import, protects Seahorses. It can be very difficult to feed the wild Seahorses once in captivity. The Seahorses we offer are tank bred and raised and are not collected from the wild and will take food more readily. There is no protection on Pipefish and they are able to be collected from the wild. These specimens are recommended for experts only as care can be very difficult.
