Hey I found these two pistol shrimp in a small colony of zoas that I was picking algae off of, they're pretty cool don't ya think?
they are about 1/2 inch long and really fast for something so small. Notice the crayons in the third picture for size reference. Eric

Not all pistols will pair with a goby.

could someone clarify the comment on whether or not it will pair with a goby given a chance?

kawicivic, I do not mind at all. That's how we all learn, I don't the answer either so maybe we both can learn something. These went into a well established and well cared for 10gal nano. Eric

This sort is free-living in rock crevices and won't pair with a goby, sorry.

I got similar pistol's in one of my rocks. There's a pair and they've spawned about 4 or 5 times so far.

Cool they are pistols and they do well in reef. Good find. Beats anything I've found for free.
