hi im building and 10gal AGA (the one you buy at petco for $10)and was thinking of good aquascaping and what to put in it.

i just want to see maybe 1-2 pix each of the front and maybe a closeup of whats inside.

if you can pls include what kind of filtration you have, skimmer and light.

thanks so much.

Here is my 10 gal. AGA. It's got about 10lbs. of Marshall Is. LR, 30lbs. of Carib-Sea LS, 2 MJ 400 on a Wavemaster Pro, Coralife Aqualight 96w Quad, Aqualight Blue-Moon-Glow, and a Remora skimmer w/ a 150w Ebo heater in the return chamber.

I am really disappointed in the sloppy silicone job on this tank. If I could go back I would get one of the Regent tanks from WalMart. IME, and I've had several 10's, they are allot cleaner then the AGA's. Just my $.02.

kaos - do u have a sump there too? why do you have that surface skimmer for? whats the difference with the walmart aga? i have the same one you have right now.

This tank is sumpless. The surface skimmer is for the Remora skimmer to help take the film of the top of the water. I also have it on there to hide the temp. probe and to put carbon in. It also makes for a cleaner look in the tank (i.e. no equipment showing). WalMart carries tanks made by a company called Regent. IME, the Regent tanks look allot better then the AGA tanks I've seen. The tank in the picture is an AGA and the sillicone job is very sloppy. The corners have excess sillicone sticking out and theres little strings of it all over the glass panels. I should have waited and bought another Regent 10gal. from WalMart but I got in a hurry and this was all the LFS had.

Hopefully this is an isolated incident. Most of my bigger tanks, in the past, have been AGA and were made really well. HTH.

I have one of those Regent tanks from walmart as my nano. The only thing that scares me is if you push on the front piece of glass a little it has a lot of flex.

euphoricgear: The pumps are MJ400's (about 100 gal/hr) and they are on a Wavemaster Pro so they are rarely on at the same time. The pumps do move the sand around some, but it only makes indentions in the sand and doesn't stir it up into the water column. I think the flow is just about right. I would like to get a little more surface aggitation though.
