PJ cardinals prego?

hello all,

I have 4 PJ cardinals in my 210 tank. two of them look like they have tumors on their underbody just aft of the gills. I am deployed a the moment and am unable to post pics. Has anyone bred these fish before? Is this a sign of pregnancy or a disease? Fish do not show any abnormality in color or erratic signs of distress. Only new addition to tank was a lion fish abot two months ago. Water parameters are stable within limits

well it's possible but what your seeing isn't pregnancy , it's the male holding the clutch of eggs in it's mouth. there lower jaw bulges when holding eggs

i dont recall seeing eggs in the mouth but i will have someone take a look. Any i dea what it could be if there are no eggs
