Placement of leather

As we build our reef I am trying to be mindful of where I place corals for the best long term success and actual growth, etc.

I want to put our leather coral in the far back right, caddy cornered. I think as it grows, it will look nice.

My question is, can the leather coral, eventually, touch the glass when it grows and potential live rock? Would it grow around it? Attached is a pic -- keep in mind, this is right after I placed it so it's closed up.

mine doesn't grow to the glass, but it will attach to anything else it touches, rocks power heads, heaters, cords, stony coral bases…

generally leathers are happy about anywhere they get light and flow….i have had far more luck at the top of the tank with tonnes of flow…keep them out of the sand bed, sand irritates them and they won't open up.

I moved it to the other side, more room. It's quite happy at the bottom. I have two mp40 in tank and it gets solid flow. We will see how it goes.
