plankton and skimmers

Does anyone know how skimmers affect the zooplankton and phytoplankton? They are small organic bits that would seem to have some bipolarity in their cell walls/membranes.

Skimmers remove all forms of plankton from the tank as well as the other organics they remove. You will need to supply your planktons into the tank regularly for your filter feeders
