I currently have a 24G aquapod, but have decided that I would like to upgrade to a 120. The tank I am looking into is the 120 RR AGA. I want to have the tank on the main floor so everyone can see it.
How do folks do water changes when you don’t access below the tank or have an equipment room? My LFS suggested to ¾ PVC pipes into the basement with a mag 8 (or similar) pump to move the water. I really do not look forward to drilling holes in my hardwood floors just so that I can get water in and out of the tank. I think my wife would like it even less!
I can’t be the only one that has wrestled with this. Once I crack this, I can figure out the rest.
