So I'm in the planning stages of a BTA and clownfish tank.
Yay! right?
I have a 37 gallon oddly shaped tank that I've been going back and forth on what to do with it. So today after seeing the 'new' A. barberi, I have decided that I want to do it.
Its going to be a slow process, of course. The tank is an 'almost cube' its about 6 inches longer than it is wide. I do have a 150 watt MH with a 14k phoenix bulb sitting in my storage, waiting for something to happen.
I'm afraid to drill this tank, and I want it plumbed in with my other undrilled tank, so going to go with HOB overflows. The glass is SUPER thick on this tank... talking 3/4" thick. Its build like a TANK... (snicker)
So, would a rock wall work for BTA's? And I was thinking barebottom, instead of the sandbed that I'm used to. Or a very shallow sandbed. Also will have to hide the powerheads so noone becomes mush or soup.
The other question is-with all these color combinations, I'd like to get a few BTAs for it. When I say its oddly shaped, I mean it. 24x18x20 high. when I build my rock wall, it will cover the back completely, and one of the sides. Am I limited to 1 or 2 anems, or can I run the gambit and get four?
Oh! And how many lbs of dry rock should I look at? I'm used to buying from the reef rock, not bulk dry
