So I am pretty excited!
My wife wants a seahorse tank in her home office.
I have run SW tanks for years my current FOWLR is this

I have been reading up on seahorse tanks and seems like cooler temps ( <74deg ) is one of the main concerns.
My idea is as follows:
Seahorse tank will be a 45g ish Octogon/Pentagon / corner design in the home office on the main floor of the house. I have direct access down through the floor to the unfinished mechanical room in the basement (see mix tank pic above). The floor of the basement is a constant 62 deg. My plan is to have a 55g ish sump sitting directly on the floor to cool the tank.
I would prob run an external return pump to keep any heat OUT of the water.
Thoughts?
I typically read up and design for about 6mo so not going to jump into this next week.
Thanks for any input
