So, I got the build one of my own custom tank bugs as i never built one before. I took and idea i saw from a wood carving show and thought that would be a nice little enclosure for a nano tank. One month later, here it is. The cabinet is made of rough cut wood from a barn. I just did some light sanding and some flat black paint and dried it with a air compressor. I like the looks of it myself. The tank its self was going to have a refugium in the back but i don't think i did it correctly(first build tank)... But at any rate it is working. I forgot to on the leftside of the sump area to allow a place for water to enter and leave. I will worry about that later I suppose. It's my first tank so learning in progress.. I went with Rapid LED lighting system. 3 Cool White Cree XP-G R5 LEDs/3 Royal Blue Cree XT-E LEDs/1 Mean Well ELN-60-27P Driver(Dimmable)/ 6 LED Aluminum Heatsinks.. One Visatherm 50 watt heater and one Aquatop NP-80/80GPH pump. Just went ahead and fired it up tonight and let it cycle a few days. Goal is a mini frag tank. Nothing specific just what i think looks nice. Going to get a 5 to 6 lb piece of live fiji rock and bust it up in to stackable pieces which i will do tomorrow night. Here is some pics of it. I am loving the Rapid LED's. They look fantastic to me. Can't wait to see it in a week with the live rock and a couple of frags.
