I would say low light and low flow of your best option. I wouldn't toss it if you do lose it, plates are known to regenerate and pop off baby's after dying from time to time.

Thanks. It was on the sand in low flow when this started. Today I put it on a rock as I read that sometimes things in the sand and irritate them but it's only getting worst. Thanks for the tip. I'll keep an eye out for baby fungia !!

Have u fed it lately? When my plate started receding, I started hand feeding it more regularly. If u do feed it and it eats then that's a good sign.

+1 on feeding it. I lost one because I treated it like a regular coral, but this thing is more like an anemone. It needs food, not just photosynthetic generated algae.

If the recession continues you might want to think about dipping the coral in something like Lugol's, Revive, Coral Rx etc. This might help stop the bleeding so to say. GL.

+1 to dip n feed regularly when they are in this state. I have rescued several plates and brought them back to full health by doing this. Feed them every 3 days then after they start looking better go to once a week. IME, some plates like sand, some dont, high light, low light, all mine prefered medium flow however. Hope you can pull it through. If however it doesn't make it, dont ditch skelly as they can grow babies from it once dead.
