Playing With My Old 10D SLR, For the First Time

Hey all, this is my first time messing with the manual modes and RAW on this camera, and my first time using Lightroom. How am I doing? Thanks for any suggestions you may have!

Not too bad for your first time really. Decent focus and sufficiently speedy shutter speed to prevent any motion blur. A bit overexposed IMO. Losing detail in your highlights and no true black blacks

White balance looks off a tad. Are you adjusting it in RAW or adjusting your camera WB?

Adjusting it raw in Lightroom as best I can. Here are the original pics without anything done to them except resize for posting. Any suggestions?
